MAXWELL MALDEN
Director of Logistics
Maxwell is a sculpture conservator specialising in large scale sculptural works. He holds a Post graduate diploma in conservation studies from City and Guilds of London Art School. Maxwell has many years’ experience in treating and installing modern and contemporary art and has project managed the installation of major works using his experience of both conservation and installation throughout the UK and Europe.
This allows us to treat large scale artworks, with confidence that they will be handled safely at all times.
JESSICA BURGESS ACR
Director of Sales and Marketing
Jessica’s area of expertise is Textile Conservation. She holds a BA in Organics Conservation from the University of the Arts, London and is an ICON accredited conservator. She founded Soteria Conservation Ltd in 2020. Jessica has lectured widely, covering topics such as mounting, conservation practices for makers, and caring for textiles within archive collections.
Textiles are high risk when it comes to pests, so her experience proves invaluable.
HANS THOMPSON
Director of Research and Development
Hans is an object and decorative surface conservator with a particular interest in modern and contemporary sculpture. Having achieved a BA (Hons) in Art History at Goldsmiths College, London, he went on to study conservation at City and Guilds of London Art school.
Following which, he set up Orbis Conservation in collaboration with Maxwell..
We continue to carry our research to develop the services we are able to offer; there are some exciting projects in the pipeline.
WILLIAM POTTER
Operations Manager
Will studied Fine Art at Winchester School of Art and subsequently went on to embark on a career as an art technician. In which, he now holds 18 years of experience.
He began working for Damien Hirst’s studio, before moving on to become Head Technician for Lisson Gallery.
Will has travelled internationally to install artworks for White Cube and Lisson, and for artists such as Ai Weiwei, Dan Graham and Anish Kapoor, amongst others.
Therefore, when dealing with any object in the studio, we know it is in safe hands.
Will is an invaluable part of the team!
